FORTEedu coordinates educational visits for surgeons and residents who want to observe surgical practice, discuss complex cases and learn from university hospital teams in Latvia and the Baltics.

• Abdominal surgery, including stomach and pancreas pathways.
• Bariatric surgery and related multidisciplinary care.
• Trauma and orthopaedic surgery where a suitable programme is available.

Educational scope

The agreed programme may include department observation, case conferences, lectures and professional meetings. Procedures, patient access and hands-on participation are never assumed; the host department confirms the scope and requirements for each visitor.
